Renovation Options for Review

Wellwood Middle School

Renovation Option 1

Basic Renovation Project: Includes new central HVAC system; roof; windows (1933 portion of building); finish upgrades (ceilings, flooring, casework); renovation of kitchen/serving areas; new elevator(s) in accordance with building code; and asbestos removal.

Renovation Option 2

Enhanced Renovation/Classroom Additions: Includes same scope of work identified in option 1 plus a building addition to relocate classrooms and cafeteria/kitchen/serving areas from basement and infill the floor plate above the cafeteria across from the main office.

Renovation Option 3

Ideal Educational Addition/Renovation: This work involves a complete reconfiguration of the internal 1933 portion of the facility while maintaining the exterior shell. Options 1 and 2 could also be incorporated into this option.

NOTE: See Enders Road Elementary School option below for critical phasing/swing space impacts.

F-M High School

Renovation Option 1

Ideal Project: Includes new central HVAC system at House 1 and 2, including piping and temperature controls; electrical work (fire alarm, emergency lights, panel boards, emergency generator, PA/clock system); plumbing work (domestic hot water system); finish upgrades associated with mechanical upgrades (ceilings, flooring, casework); and asbestos removal as necessary.

Enders Road Elementary School

Renovation Option 1

Construct a new Enders Road Elementary School as an addition onto Eagle Hill Middle School (with associated renovations) near the existing tennis courts. After construction is complete, the original Enders Road would provide swing space to complete the Wellwood renovation project. Once Wellwood construction is complete, the current Enders Road building would be demolished for athletic fields.

Renovation Option 2

Construct a new standalone Enders Road building adjacent to Eagle Hill Middle School. After construction of the new building is complete on the auditorium side of Eagle Hill, the original Enders Road building would provide swing space to complete the Wellwood renovation project. Once Wellwood construction is complete, the current Enders Road building would be demolished for athletic fields.
