In accordance with our Computer Technology Plan, each classroom in the district has a computer.
One of the capabilities associated with classroom computers is e-mail for each teacher. Given the importance of home-school communication, parents may wish to e-mail teachers. In doing so parents should recognize that the day-to-day demands of classroom instruction may prevent a teacher from monitoring or responding to e-mail on a daily basis. Therefore, e-mail should not be used for requests for student homework, parent messages to students, transportation changes, nor for reporting student absences or tardiness.
All users of school e-mail should be aware that it is not confidential and is stored electronically. Teacher-student e-mail is at the discretion of the individual teacher.
