Mott Road Fun Facts School Mascot: Eager Beaver School Song: Thanks to Our Days at Mott Road History: Mott Road opened in 1958- the last of three elementary schools that were built between 1953 and 1958 to accommodate the rapidly growing Fayetteville-Manlius District. In 1980, Mott Road was closed as a school. At various times between 1980 and 1987, Mott Road housed the F-M District Offices and credit union as well as the district copying center. Space was also rented to a few preschools. The building was reopened as a K-4 elementary school in 1987. A major reconstruction project transformed office space to classrooms and a new library. Through the years, other projects included refurbishing the gym, adding an art, music and ESOL room as well as two kindergarten classrooms and four upper grade classrooms.
