The National Honor Society is the leader among organizations and societies that promote appropriate recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service.  Administered by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, thousands of schools are chartered throughout the United States.  The Oak Tree Chapter of the National Honor Society at Fayetteville-Manlius High School was chartered in 1983.

NOTE:  NHS inductions for new accepted members will take place on Thursday, April 29th, 2010 at the High School House 2 in Room 2121 at 7:00pm.

NOTE:  The make-up meeting for missing Thursday's (April 15th) meeting is Tuesday, April 27th at 2:15pm in room 2121.

Parents & students:  Please use this website to keep informed with respect to membership requirements, due dates, NHS officer contacts, and other information relating to the Oak Tree Chapter.  

Current NHS members who have not maintained a 4.0 GPA by the end of the 1st semester are not currently members in good standing, according to Article XV, section 3 of the National NHS by-laws.  These students will have until the end of the 3rd marking period to raise their GPAs to 4.0 or higher in order to receive graduation regalia at the conclusion of the school year.  According to Article XV, section 3, students not in good standing do not receive their NHS rope and tassel at graduation.
