Current Events Sites
Tips for Current Events Homework Assignments: Be sure that the article you select is news. News is something that is happening now or happened recently. It should be important for people to know about. For example, information about what causes earthquakes is interesting, but it is not a current event. Information about a specific earthquake that happened recently is news and would be a good choice for current events homework. Choose an article that you can read and understand! The following sites include articles that are appropriate for fifth and sixth grade students. Those marked (*) are especially good for current events assignments.
