What we will be learning and working on during the month of September in the areas of Language Arts, Writing, Math and Science:

Reading: First 20 Days (how to choose books, genres, note-taking, etc.) and reading the novel, The Kid in the Red Jacket, by Barbara Park.

Writing:  Life Events Project (capitalization, punctuation, strong words, sentence variety, etc.)

Math:  Unit 1: Mathematical Thinking (place value, comparing/ordering numbers to millions, prime and composite numbers, greatest common factors, multiplication of three digit number by a three digit number, dividing three digit numbers by one and two digit numbers, rounding, reasonableness of estimation)

Science: Scientific Process Skills, Scientific Method, Classification
