During a special meeting held March 25, the Fayetteville-Manlius Board of Education voted to revise the 2019-20 school year calendar so that it aligns with the BOCES district calendar, which was officially adopted on March 21.
The calendar, which includes school holidays, vacation weeks and days off for students due to staff development days, has been amended to include Thursday, Jan. 2 and Friday, Jan. 3, 2020 as part of the 2019-20 winter recess.
With this calendar revision, the district will have six emergency closure days for the 2019-20 school year.
A 12-month calendar that includes school events will be produced during the summer and then mailed to the homes of students’ parents and guardians.
