Classes planned to be in session on May 18

All Fayetteville-Manlius School District schools will have classes in session on May 18, which is the same day as the annual school budget vote and board of education election.

The original 2020-21 school year calendar adopted by the F-M Board of Education listed May 18 as a staff development day with no student instruction. However, the board voted in August to revise the calendar to provide staff with more professional development time before classes began, moving the May 18 staff development day to September.

Because of that change, classes will be in session on May 18 for all students.

Publications created during the summer and mailed to families, such as the district’s 12-month calendar, were printed before the board action and show no school on May 18, which is no longer accurate. Families are encouraged to refer to the district’s online calendar for the most up-to-date information.

Fayetteville Elementary shifts to remote instruction on May 18

Because the School Budget vote and Board of Education elections are taking place at Fayetteville Elementary School and members of the public will be entering the building, there will be no in-person instruction on May 18 and all Fayetteville Elementary students will participate in remote instruction.

All other F-M schools will operate their regular in-person and remote classes planned for that day.
