Fayetteville-Manlius High School’s “Showboat” is returning to the stage this weekend.
For the first time since 2019, F-M High School’s student-run talent show will take place in the high school auditorium. Shows will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 29, and Saturday, April 30.
Tickets cost $10 and are for general admission seating. Tickets may be purchased online or at the door starting at 6 p.m. each night of the show.
Showboat includes a cappella, bands, a wide variety of dances, vocal duets, instrumental performances, step routines and an improv game. Students run the lights, audio and backstage action. Students from all grade levels will perform.
Proceeds will be donated to the Fayetteville-Manlius A Better Chance House (ABC House). A Better Chance is a national non-profit organization that identifies and recruits academically talented and motivated students of color from disadvantaged school districts and places them in outstanding public, independent and private high schools across the United States, according to the program’s website.
Fayetteville-Manlius A Better Chance students live in a group home setting and attend F-M High School where they are enrolled in an advanced college prep curriculum.
