High school hosting virtual awards ceremony on June 3

The annual Fayetteville-Manlius High School awards ceremony that recognizes students’ efforts and achievements will be held virtually this year.

On June 3, the Annual Home School Association (HSA) Awards and Recognition Program will be available for online viewing beginning at 6:30 p.m. via Fayetteville-Manlius School District’s official YouTube channel

The ceremony cannot be held live and in-person this year due to gathering restrictions that have been issued across the country to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

“This ceremony gives us an opportunity to acknowledge high school students for their achievements and contributions in the areas of academics, leadership, and citizenship,” F-M High School Assistant Principal Michael O’Brien said.

The video will be saved to the district’s YouTube channel and available for viewing anytime after its 6:30 p.m. June 3 release. Viewers do not need a YouTube account in order to watch the video.

F-M High School’s HSA sponsors the awards, along with community organizations, various colleges and universities and memorial funds.

“We feel that it is important to recognize those students who have worked diligently to distinguish themselves from their peers,” Mr. O’Brien said. “Please set aside some time and join us for this special occasion.”
