Fayetteville-Manlius School District parents, guardians and caregivers are invited to attend the next Parent Council meeting Friday, Dec. 1. The meeting will take place at 9 a.m. in the large conference room at the F-M District Office located at 8199 E Seneca Turnpike, Manlius and will also be available virtually via Zoom.
Parent Council is a forum where F-M parents, guardians and caregivers informally meet with the superintendent and other district staff. At each meeting, presentations and discussions take place regarding relevant and timely issues facing the school district and its students.
The group meets in a casual, informative and friendly setting. There are no required committees to join or projects to complete – other than just sharing information in an effort to promote two-way communication between the home and the school.
Parent Council is scheduled to meet six times throughout the 2023-24 school year. Four meetings serve as community focus groups in which attendees are asked to share their opinions on predetermined topics. The other two meetings, superintendent coffees, are informal gatherings to address any concerns from attendees.
The Dec. 1 meeting will be a superintendent coffee.
