Due to distance learning requirements set by New York state Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Fayetteville-Manlius School District will now end its 2019-20 school year for students on June 17.
The amended calendar was approved by the Fayetteville-Manlius Board of Education during its May 26 meeting. It takes into account that school was in session during the recent spring recess and ensures F-M fulfills its 180-day requirement, inclusive of all holidays, professional development days and emergency closures.
The last day for teachers to report is June 19.
Each F-M school will soon announce to its families how and when students can pick up belongings and return borrowed materials such as library books.
