Below are school supply lists for each grade level at Mott Road Elementary School for the upcoming 2021-22 school year.

*Students can bring their supplies to kindergarten visitation on August 30.
- One backpack (no wheels)
- One pair of headphones – no earbuds (L-shaped jack works best)
- Eight Elmer’s glue sticks (.77 ounce)
- Four low odor dry erase markers – fine tip
- Three boxes of Crayola crayons (24 count)
- Two heavy duty (not plastic) 2-pocket folders – any color/design
- Two transparent plastic envelopes – approx. 10 x 13 size (a 2-pocket folder will need to fit inside – no zip top)
- 4×6 recent photo of child (include their name on the back)
- One art smock (adult size – no ties or Velcro)
- One change of clothes to keep at school
- One package of washable Crayola markers – broad line tip
- One package of colored pencils (24 count)
- One pair of kids blunt-tip scissors
- One 4-pack of Play-Doh
Some items may need to be replaced throughout the year.
Grade 1
- Backpack to bring back and forth to school (no wheels)
- Oversized, short-sleeve t-shirt to use as an art smock (no buttons or ties)
- Basic child-size earbuds for iPad. Please open package and practice using them at home. Please send headphones in a plastic baggie labeled with child’s name.
- Solid color 1.5″ 3-ring binder. We will need to insert a cover page, so be sure that the front has a clear, plastic sleeve.
- Two transparent, plastic envelopes (any color) approximately 9 – 3/4 x 13 inches (available at Wegmans, Target and Rite Aid). Velcro closure is preferred, no zippers.
- Two large Elmer’s glue sticks (.77-ounce )
- Four thin dry erase markers – EXPO brand
- 12 No. 2 Ticonderoga pencils sharpened (no fancy pencils)
- Two packs of Crayola colored pencils (12 count)
- Two packs of Crayola crayons (24 count)
- Two boxes of Crayola markers, 8 or 10 count – washable if possible
- One pair of child’s pointed-tip scissors
- One box of Ziploc bags, any size
- Stylus for iPad (optional)
- Two hard plastic pencil boxes approximately 8 x 5 inches. No small/zippered/fancy cases. Please label these with your child’s name.

Grade 2
- One pencil box (big enough to hold pencils, scissors, glue, and coloring supplies)
- One pair of blunt-tip kids scissors
- Two boxes of crayons (24 count)
- One box of colored pencils (12 count)
- One package of markers (bold tip)
- One package of markers (fine tip)
- 8-10 glue sticks
- 24 sharpened yellow No. 2 pencils
- Earbuds for iPad. Please send in a labeled plastic baggie (they can be purchased at the Dollar Store)
- Oversized, short-sleeve t-shirt to use as an art smock (no buttons or ties)
- 6-8 fine tip dry erase markers (low odor/no odor are best)
- One old, clean sock for a whiteboard eraser
- One handheld, enclosed (to catch shavings) pencil sharpener
- One durable 2-pocket folder for mail (any color or design)
- Durable, two-pocket folder for taking work to and from school (any color/design)
- Four 2-pocket folders (no prongs) – one blue, one yellow, one green, one red
- Backpack (no wheels, please)
- Spill-proof, non-glass water bottle (suggested for students to keep water at their desks)
Donations gratefully accepted of:
- Ziploc bags: snack size, sandwich size or gallon size

Grade 3
- One wide-ruled composition notebook (not college-ruled)
- Headphone compatible with Chromebooks
- One pack of baby wipes
- One box of sharpened pencils
- Six sturdy plastic folders (one red, one orange, one yellow, one green, one blue, one purple)
- Box of crayons
- Pack of glue sticks
- Felt tip pens
- Scissors
- Pink erasers
- One zippered pencil pouch (large enough to hold crayons, glue sticks, pens, scissors, pink erasers)
There may be additional items required by individual teachers. The August placement letter will list any additional supplies needed.
Grade 4
- Art smock
- One composition notebook
- One box of No. 2 sharpened pencils with erasers (24 count)
- One large glue stick
- Two highlighters
- 5-10 thin, black flair pens (preferably Papermate brand)
- One pack of black fine tip whiteboard markers (avoid multicolor packs, please)
- Old sock to be used for a whiteboard eraser
- Scissors
- One box of 24-count crayons – preferably Crayola brand
- One box of colored pencils – preferably Crayola brand
- One box of washable markers – preferably Crayola brand
- Four packages of 3 x 3″ Post-it Notes (any color)
- Five sturdy, plastic 2-pocket folders labeled with child’s name only in the lower corner (one red, one blue, one green, one yellow, one purple)
- Headphones/earbuds in a labeled Ziploc bag (please label with only a name in the lower corner)
- White cotton short sleeve t-shirt – we will be tie-dying in the fall and will be
wearing them all year long. Please label with your child’s name with a sharpie. - Daily: Healthy snack and filled water bottle
Please do not send in a pencil pouch or box. One will be provided for students.
