New student registration is open for 2021-22 school year

Fayetteville-Manlius School District is calling on families to register their children for kindergarten for the 2021-22 school year.

The district will continue to follow all state and local health and safety guidance for the upcoming school year, and at this time plans to offer in-person instruction five days a week for K-12 students. To assist district officials with enrollment planning, families should register new students, including children who will be entering kindergarten in the fall, as soon as possible.

There are no enrollment deadlines; however, elementary classroom sizes are limited and late registrations could result in students attending a school outside the zone in which they reside. Families always have the option of withdrawing a submitted registration at any time if circumstances change.

Parents and guardians may register new students online, by mail or by email.

In order to register a student, a registration form must be completed and submitted with the following documents:

  • Student’s immunization records
  • Proof of student’s age (birth certificate, passport, etc.)
  • Home language questionnaire (available online in 41 languages)
  • Proof of residency – two forms from the following list are required at the time of registration:
    • A valid NYS driver’s license (with current address)
    • Utility bill, credit card bill, Insurance bill, etc.
    • Signed statement of sale
    • Signed rental agreement
    • Income tax return
    • Voter registration
  • Proof of guardianship/custody (if applicable)
  • Student’s health examination form (must be on state-required form and received within 30 days of starting school)

Please note that property tax bills and/or a purchase offer are not acceptable proofs of residency.

 

Online Registration

  • Please navigate to the district’s SchoolTool website
  • The online registration process includes all of the required forms. Registering families should have the following required documents ready to upload: immunization records, proof of age, proofs of residency and proof of guardianship/custody (if applicable).
  • Please have the materials listed above available before beginning the registration process.
  • To complete the registration process, please click “Submit.” 

Registration by Mail

  • Complete the registration form.
  • Send the completed form and the required documents listed above to F-M District Office, 8199 E. Seneca Turnpike, Manlius, NY 13104, Attention: Registration.
