Fayetteville-Manlius School District will offer its next mental health awareness workshop session for families 6:30 p.m. Monday evening, Dec. 19.
The third and final program of this month’s workshop series is It’s Real: Teens and Mental Health. The program raises awareness about mental health issues commonly experienced by students, and attendees will learn what mental health is, methods of self-care for the mind, body and soul, and how and where to reach out for help.
The district encourages all parents, guardians, caregivers and students (ages 13 and older) to attend the virtual session, which will be led by mental health educator William DeSantis, who serves F-M as part of the district’s contract with Contact Community Services.
