COVID-19 surveillance testing registration is now open

The following message was emailed Sept. 9 to all Fayetteville-Manlius School District families via SchoolMessenger.

The Fayetteville-Manlius School District is pleased to partner with the Onondaga County Health Department to provide free and onsite COVID-19 surveillance testing to our families and staff for the 2022-23 school year.

The initial surveillance testing dates that were selected by the county for the first semester include: Sept. 16 and 30; Oct. 14 and 28; Nov. 18; Dec. 9 and 22; and Jan. 6 and 20. If additional testing dates are established, or if there is a shift from bi-weekly to more frequent weekly testing, we will share that information with you. The testing pool for each date will be by random drawing from among individuals who have consented to testing. Individuals selected for testing will be notified by email the evening prior to the test date.

If you are willing to participate in the surveillance testing this year, please review the options below regarding the consent process.

If you participated in the 2021-22 surveillance testing program and have already registered on the Quadrant website, you already may have received an email from the county on or around Sept. 6 containing information about providing consent for this year. Please follow the instructions included in the email; the steps are also outlined below.

  • If you wish to consent for this year’s testing program and you consented last year, no action is required unless your child has changed school buildings. Please find instructions here on how to change your school building in the Quadrant system.

  • If you did not consent to testing last year and you wish to participate in this year’s testing program please register here.

  • If you consented last year and do not wish to participate this year, please log in to your account to opt out of the school surveillance testing program. After logging in, click on “edit profile” followed by “testing place.” Click on the “school” dropdown and select “opt out of Onondaga school testing.” Click “verify” and then “save profile” to submit your opt-out preference.
