Three individuals within school community test positive for COVID-19; schools remains open

On Tuesday, Jan. 5, the Fayetteville-Manlius School District was notified that three individuals within the school community tested positive for COVID-19.

The individuals include the following:

  • A F-M High School cohort B student who was last in school on Friday, Dec. 11. Contact tracing determined that no staff or students need to quarantine.
  • An Eagle Hill Middle School cohort A student who was last in school on Tuesday, Dec. 15. Contact tracing determined that no staff or students need to quarantine.
  • A F-M High School staff member who was last in school on Monday, Jan. 4. Contact tracing determined that no staff or students need to quarantine.

All F-M schools remain open for in-person instruction.

Due to privacy laws, the district cannot provide any additional information about the individuals who tested positive. If you would like to be tested out of an abundance of caution, please visit the New York State COVID-19 web page to find a testing location near you or talk with your healthcare provider.

The district continues to thoroughly clean and disinfect all buildings on campus and its buses in accordance with guidance from the state Department of Health and the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
