Weekly COVID-19 reporting is available on district website

The district will share weekly on its website the number of positive COVID-19 cases reported to the district, including how many students and staff are quarantined as a result of each positive case and in which building the individual who tested positive is based.

To reduce the number of emails the district is sending to families, the district will only directly contact those staff members and families of those students who contact tracing determines need to quarantine. If a positive case impacts school operations, the greater school community will be notified via SchoolMessenger and information will be shared in the news section of the website.

Staff, students’ families and community members may check the chart on the district website’s COVID-19 webpage at any time to see the number of students or staff reported to have tested positive for COVID-19. If there are no reported cases in a particular week, there will not be an entry for that week in the chart.

Any individuals who test positive, and any other students and staff members contact tracing determined were exposed, will not return to school or athletics until Onondaga County provides clearance for them to do so. Due to privacy laws, the district will not provide any identifying information about individuals who test positive or about those who may have been exposed.

As of Sept. 22, the New York State School COVID-19 Report Card dashboard, which is included on the state’s official website, is temporarily unavailable.
