What to do if buses are unexpectedly delayed

Fayetteville-Manlius School District school buses generally follow a predictable morning pickup schedule, but there may be occasions when school is open and buses are unexpectedly delayed.

In those instances, children should wait no more than 10 minutes past the regular pickup time, especially in inclement weather, before returning inside. Buses will eventually complete their routes, waiting about one minute at each scheduled stop to allow children time to return to the bus stop. On days when low temperatures or wind chills are forecast, parents should use their best judgment as to how long their children are waiting outside at the bus pickup location.

If your child’s designated bus stop is a corner pickup and the bus is more than 10 minutes late, contact the transportation department at (315) 692-1218 for an approximate pickup time.
