The Fayetteville-Manlius School District is an Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES component district. That means district residents can vote in OCM BOCES’ upcoming $30.5 million capital project vote scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 19.
The proposal aims to improve classrooms and other learning spaces in the McEvoy Building at the OCM BOCES Cortlandville Campus and in the Career & Technical Education Building at the OCM BOCES Thompson Road Campus.
According to OCM BOCES, 65% of the project would be covered by New York State aid. The remaining costs, roughly 35%, would be shared proportionally by its 23 component districts, based on student enrollment.
The Fayetteville-Manlius School District’s share would be $2,560,597 with an average annual tax impact of $65,075. For homeowners, the average annual tax impact per $1,000 in full-value assessment would be $0.0160.
The average estimated tax increase per year on a Fayetteville-Manlius home with a $100,000 full-value assessment would be:
- No STAR exemption, $1.60
- Basic STAR exemption, $1.12
- Enhanced STAR exemption, $0.22.
