Our middle school counseling team supports students’ academic, social and emotional growth. Services include academic planning, individual and group counseling, and programs on bullying prevention, career exploration, and conflict resolution. Counselors work with staff and families to help students succeed and feel supported.
Each middle school has two school counselors and a school psychologist.
School Counseling Program (K-8)
A coordinated school counseling program in grades K-8 aims to:
- Prepare students to participate effectively in their current and future educational programs;
- Help those students exhibiting any attendance, academic, behavioral or adjustment problems;
- Educate students concerning avoidance of child sexual abuse; and
- Encourage parental involvement.
Parent/Guardian Conferences
Administrators, counselors, and teachers welcome the opportunity to confer with parents/guardians. Conferences may be arranged by contacting the teacher, counselor, or principal. Requests for meetings should be made at least a few days in advance.
