District will begin using new board management website on Nov. 10

The Fayetteville-Manlius School District is enhancing how the community can access Board of Education information. Beginning Monday, Nov. 10, the district will transition from its current platform, BoardDocs, to a new and improved system called Community

The new website will serve as a one-stop shop for all Board of Education resources, offering a more streamlined, user-friendly, and transparent experience for families, staff, and community members.

Everything in one place

All existing BoardDocs content has been migrated to Diligent Community, so past materials will remain accessible. Visitors will find the policy book, document library, district goals, committee reports, meeting minutes, and more on the homepage.

The calendar function will make it easier than ever to find upcoming meetings and agendas, which can also be accessed from the homepage or the meetings tab.

The livestream of each board meeting will now be embedded directly in the agenda, allowing viewers to follow along with documents and discussions in one place.

Subscription feature

One of the most helpful upgrades is the subscription feature. Community members can now sign up to receive automatic email notifications when new board or committee meeting agendas are published. Each email includes a direct link to the meeting details, ensuring stakeholders feel informed and engaged.

Community comments

Community members will no longer need to pre-register to attend Board of Education meetings. Those who wish to speak during the public comment or hearing portion can simply complete the Request to Speak form, located on the Diligent Community homepage or at the top of each agenda.

If you have any questions or need help navigating the new site, please contact the District Clerk, Sarah Gridley at 315-692-1200 or sgridley@fmschools.org.
