District working with police to identify suspicious person at Eagle Hill

On Thursday, Aug. 21 at approximately 12 p.m., a suspicious individual was observed outside of Eagle Hill Middle School by school personnel. The individual is alleged to have photographed the school’s main single-point of entry and made remarks about a shooting.

School personnel immediately contacted the Town of Manlius Police Department who responded and have opened an investigation. District administrators are working with police to identify the individual – a presumed white male, wearing an orange jacket with a hood, and riding an electric bike.

Ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff is always our top priority. The district’s school patrol officers (SPOs) and school information resource officers (SIROs) will be present at each of F-M’s school buildings next week when staff return and during new student orientations.

We encourage our school community to remain vigilant and report any information they may have about this incident to the Town of Manlius Police Department at 315-682-2212.
