F-M middle school students win National German Exam medals

The results are in and several Fayetteville-Manlius School District middle school students earned medals for their performance on the 2025 National German Exam.

The National German Exam, organized by the American Association of Teachers of German, measures students’ reading and listening skills in German.

Each year, more than 15,000 high school students from across the country participate in four different levels of the contest from 1 (beginner) to 4 (intermediate).

Thirty-eight eighth graders from Eagle Hill and Wellwood middle schools took the level 1 exam in April, 16 of whom earned a total of 6 gold, 8 silver and 2 bronze medals.
