Several FMHS students are awarded for their artwork

Several FMHS students are being honored for their artwork. Two students have won awards in the Storrs All High Art Show and two students have won awards in the CNY Art Guild 2024 High School Senior Art Show & Competition.

The annual Storrs All High Art Show is open to students in grades 9-12 in any public or private schools across New York State. Winning pieces are hung in an art show displayed at the Kenan Center in Lockport. Reese Niccolls won Best in Show for her photograph, “Free by Herself” and Adaline Davis won Most Realistic for her painting, “OBX Sunrise.”

The CNY Art Guild 2024 High School Senior Art Show & Competition allows seniors to display their work in a professional gallery setting. Judges also give away over $900 in awards. This year’s event was held at the Edgewood Gallery in Syracuse, and all winning work can still be found on the CNY Art Guild’s website

Two F-M students took home prices this year. Julianna Hall won Best Photograph for her piece titled, “Girl Boss” and Annie Dotger won Best Ceramics for her piece, “Mokosh.”

Congratulations to all of our talented student-artists at F-M!
