Calling all parents and guardians of children who will be in the Class of 2039: The Fayetteville-Manlius School District is ready to get them registered!

“Kindergarten registration is always an exciting time of year,” said Melissa Corbin, F-M’s Executive Director of Early Childhood and Human Resources. “We are excited to meet our new families and officially welcome the Class of 2039 into the F-M school community.”

Each elementary school will host its own Kindergarten Parent Orientation at 6:30 p.m. on April 27 and will mail additional information prior to the event to those families who have registered their children by then or have an older sibling enrolled in an F-M school.

Children must be five years old as of Dec. 1, 2026, to be registered for the 2026-27 school year.

Families of eligible students are asked to complete a kindergarten intent form to communicate their plans for the 2026-2027 school year, which helps the district determine the number of kindergarten classes needed in each school building. Even if an eligible student will not be attending kindergarten next year or school in the Fayetteville-Manlius School District, parents and guardians are still asked to submit the intent form for planning purposes.

Enrollment requirements depend upon a child’s current status with the district.

Students not currently in UPK

For children not currently enrolled in the Fayetteville-Manlius UPK program, parents and guardians must complete the full registration process for the 2026-2027 school year, which includes the following three steps.

Current Universal Pre-K (UPK) Students

If a child is registered with F-M’s UPK program for the current school year, parents and guardians do not need to complete a second registration form if the child will attend kindergarten at Fayetteville-Manlius in September.
