F-M art students win awards in Storrs All High Art Show; work on display through May 4

You can catch F-M student artwork on display through Sunday, May 4 as part of the 38th Annual Storrs All High Art Show. Three FMHS students won awards for their featured work, now hanging at the Kenan Center in Lockport.

Senior Matthew Crisafulli won Best Photograph for his digital work titled, “Shoulders of Solace.” Sophomore Charles Ness won Best Use of Light & Shadow for his digital photograph titled, “Can you die later sir.” Junior Claire Manahan won Honorable Mention for her oil painting “Mourning Mist.”

The art show was open to students in grades 9-12 across all of New York State. Each school could submit a maximum of 15 entries, with only one entry accepted per-student. This year, F-M is one of 12 school districts to be represented in the show.

If you’d like to visit the exhibit, the Kenan House Gallery is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day, and the show will close on Sunday, May 4.
