The Board of Education has established committees for the purpose of undertaking a specific task in connection with board activity. The board relies strongly on committee work. These committees cannot make official decisions for the entire board. No action of any committee is to be deemed an action of the board. The board has the right to accept, reject or modify all or any part of a committee recommendation. Each board committee should provide status reports on the issues on which it is working.
The board recognizes that it may be necessary to authorize advisory committees to enlist opinions and counsel of the general public. Additionally, at the request of the board, the president may appoint temporary committees for special purposes. These committees are to be discharged on the completion of their assignment. The board president is to serve as an ex-officio member of such committees.
The committee meeting schedule can be found on the district-level Google calendar.
Meeting minutes for each committee can be found on BoardDocs.
