ART CLUB
Help build community art projects and work on personal art. Art Club is open to students in grades 7-8. It will be held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month with Mrs. Reed in Art Room 313.
EAGLE HILL A/V CLUB
Interested in multimedia production? Then AV Club might be for you! Students in grades 6-8 will gain experience in audio/video production, multimedia creation, and journalism skills such as interviewing, scriptwriting, and reporting. This club will be a fun, collaborative space for students interested in media, technology, and storytelling. Hosted on Mondays by Ms. Wojnovich, Ms. Lonergan and Mr. Carbone.
BINGO CLUB
Play Bingo in the library. The Bingo Club will be held on Tuesdays with Mrs. Scott.
CRAZE CLUB
This is a student led club, all are welcome. Join us on the second and fourth Wednesdays with Mrs. Reed in Art Room 313.
CHESS CLUB
Students are invited to play chess. This is open to students in grades 7-8. The club will take place on Mondays with Mr. Janicki in Room 111.
CODING CLUB
Explore block coding with Spheros as well as coding on the TI-Nspire and other coding platforms. The club will meet on Tuesdays (when announced) with Mrs. Winje and Mr. Carbone in Room 122. Open to all grade levels.
COLORING CLUB
Enjoy coloring beautiful pictures in the library! The club will meet on Mondays with Mrs. Scott in the Library.
CROCHET CLUB
A creative space where students can learn and practice the art of crochet. Members work on projects like scarves and small crafts while developing patience, focus, and fine motor skills. No skills or equipment needed. The club will meet on Tuesdays in Room 311. Open to all grades.
Football Club
Learn the basics, skills, etc. of the sport. You don’t have to know how to play to join! Meets Thursdays with Mr. Barnello in the gym.
GARDEN CLUB
Open to all students interested in planning, planting, maintaining and harvesting herbs and vegetables in our school’s greenhouse. Produce may be donated to our school or to local food pantries. The club will meet on Tuesdays in the LGI and walk to the greenhouse with Ms. Kirkpatrick and Ms. Aspinall.
HANGING WITH HEARTLEY
This activity is for any student looking to do a variety of activities with one of our therapy dogs, Heartley. Activities will include walking, coloring, playing board games, and other stress relieving activities. The club is open to students in 5-8 grade, there is a limit of 20 members. Meetings will be held on the last Wednesday of the month with Mrs. Niver and Mrs. Patel in Room 310.
HISTORICAL FICTION BOOK CLUB
Thursdays, Mrs. Stephens, Room 110. Over the course of the year we will share titles and ideas about great historical fiction books. When we meet we will discuss and then spend some time digging into our favorite hobby, reading! We will not be meeting every week. Limited to fifteen 7th & 8th graders.
HORNET’S NEST CLUB
Come be a part of the school store club. Learn about the world of retail by helping to order, unpack, price and display items. Students will also help determine how profit from the store will be used. Meet on Tuesdays with Mrs. Patel in Room 310. Open to all grades.
KANDI JEWELRY CLUB
You are invited to come learn about, share, and create Kandi Jewelry! Bring your own bead kits, or use what we have available. You can be a beginner, intermediate, or advanced Kandi creator. We work as a team to make beautiful jewelry and accessories! Meet on Mondays with Mrs. Dervishleri in Room 309B. Open to all grades.
Legal Eagles
This club has a basis in history and social studies. Activities include looking at laws around the world and comparing and contrasting to those in the U.S., booklet trivia, justice jeopardy, and connections to civic responsibilities as students in the building. Meets on Tuesdays with Mrs. Dervishleri in room 309B.
MAGIC THE GATHERING CLUB
Dive into the world of Magic the Gathering! This club is for anyone who wants to learn how to play, improve their skills, or just have fun with friends. We’ll teach you the basics of deck building and strategy, and you’ll get to battle it out in friendly games. Don’t have any cards? No problem! We’ll have some available for you to use. All experience levels are welcome. Meet on Thursdays with Mr. Six in Room 325 (9/15 – 11/13 & 2/26 – End of Year).
MATH LEAGUE
Students can join teachers for math enrichment and challenging math activities. Practice for the county math league will occur during this time as well. The league will meet on selected Thursdays with Ms. Albicker, Mr. DeBlois, Mr. Pirong and Mrs. Wine. The meeting room assignment will vary. Open to students in grades 6-8.
MELODIES
This ensemble is open to all grade levels who love to sing pop, rock, or Broadway tunes! There is no audition required, only the love of singing with your friends. Come and help us choose what songs we will sing this year! Meet on Wednesdays in Room 318 with Ms. Roach.
MODERN BAND “Rock Stars in Training”
Are you a young music enthusiast at home eager to rock out and make music with friends? Join our exciting after-school class, “Rockstars in Training: Modern Band for Kids,” where students in grades 6-8 can unleash their inner rockstar while learning to play in a modern band style. Students will listen to rock music, learn to play guitar, bass or drums, sing and maybe even write a song. Prior experience on modern band instruments is helpful but not required. Meet on Thursdays with Mr. Rossi in the band room from Oct. 16 through March 19.
MOVEMENT CLUB
Join us to move your body! Activities will include walks, yoga, workout room, playing in the snow, etc. Activities will be announced during morning announcements. Meet twice a month on Wednesdays with Teacher Rose and Mrs. Prudhomme.
PE ENRICHMENT
Activities will mirror what is being done in PE class. Limited to 16 students. Must register via a Google form available on Schoology to attend. The list of students will rotate monthly (depending on numbers). Monday – grade 5 (Mr. Barnello), Tuesday – grades 7-8 (Mrs. Niver), Wednesday – grade 6 (Mr. Schweider).
READING CLUB
Enjoy a quiet place to read your favorite books. Also, get some recommendations for new titles you might like to try. Meet on Thursdays with Mrs. Scott in the Library.
ROMAN TECHNOLOGY CLUB
Mondays (when announced), Room 205, Mrs. Tyler. Engage in hands-on exploration of different areas of ancient technology, such as arches, aqueducts, writing materials, clothing, transportation, etc. and compete in friendly competitions.
SCIENCE OLYMPIAD
A team will be selected following tryouts which are open to students in grades 6-8. The opportunity exists to engage in scholastic competition with neighboring school districts. Days and times to be determined. Meetings will take place with Ms. Soeder in Room 201.
STUDENT COUNCIL
Be the voice of the student body! Help organize and carry out school activities and service projects, as well as plan events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare. Hornet Pride! Meet on Thursdays in Room 310 with Mrs. Patel and Mrs. Dervishleri. Open to all grades.

Join in playing Tenzi! Meet on Wednesdays with Mrs. Scott in the Library.
