Eagle Hill Middle School music teacher John Jeanneret was one of only 40 conductors from nine countries invited to the annual North Texas Conductors Collegium this summer in Denton, Texas.
The two-week program is hosted by the University of North Texas College of Music. Participants take part in rehearsals, performances, and coaching with the North Texas Wind Symphony and internationally recognized conducting faculty. Jeanneret conducted rehearsals with the Wind Symphony and conducted a selection on the final evening concert of the Conductors Collegium.
“I was honored to represent Eagle Hill and the Fayetteville-Manlius community at this international event, and learned so much from colleagues from different parts of the world,” said Jeanneret.
The district congratulates Mr. Jeanneret on this achievement and celebrates the inspiration he brings back to our students.
