F-M athletics recognized as Overall Athletic Program of the Year

The third annual 2019-20 All-Central New York High School Sports Awards winners were recently announced, and the Fayetteville-Manlius School District athletics department, one of its coaches and several F-M student-athletes were recognized.

During the June 30 virtual event, the F-M athletics department was named the Overall Athletic Program of the Year. 

Other department accomplishments include:  

  • 6 league championships
  • 4 Section III championships
  • 1 State finals game appearance 
  • 2 State championships
  • All fall and winter teams named Scholar-Athlete Teams
  • 18 seniors committed to play Division 1 or 2 college sports

Bill Aris, head coach of the boys and girls varsity cross country, indoor track and outdoor track and field teams, was named Coach of the Year. 

The event also featured awards for the top athletes from the fall and winter seasons. Since the spring sports season was canceled due to COVID-19, there were no awards for spring sport athletes. Below are the F-M student-athletes who were recognized.
