F-M students selected to perform at prestigious statewide music conference

Twelve Fayetteville-Manlius High School students have been selected to participate in the 2025 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Conference All-State.

The F-M students will perform in ensembles with other top students from school music departments across the state at the 89th annual NYSSMA Winter Conference in Rochester on Dec. 4-7.

Statewide, thousands of sophomores and juniors auditioned for All-State last spring at NYSSMA solo and ensemble festivals. Students were selected based on their NYSSMA solo numerical scores and rankings. Other factors for selection to All-State include instructor recommendations, grade in school, previous All-State performances and participation in additional musical organizations.

The following students qualified for All-State:

  • Johan Brasz – Symphony Orchestra, Double Bass
  • Hudson Brenner – String Orchestra, Viola
  • Zacharias Daniels – Symphony Orchestra, Violin
  • Josephine Feck – Treble Chorus, Alto
  • Brian Hebert – Mixed Chorus, Tenor
  • Chloe Lee – Symphony Orchestra, Violin
  • Daniel Li – String Orchestra, Cello
  • Justin Liu – Symphonic Band, Euphonium
  • Aiden Michel – Wind Ensemble, Bb Clarinet
  • Octavia Miller – Treble Chorus, Alto
  • Alexander Qiu – Symphony Orchestra, Violin
  • Camille Ryan – Symphonic Band, French Horn

The following students were designated Alternates in the event a student is unable to attend:

  • Ellie Comprix – Cello
  • Abigail Issakainen – Soprano
  • Caroline James – Soprano
  • Elizabeth Kilmer – Alto
  • Mariah Sun – Cello
  • Sydney Wiedeman – Soprano
