Board of Education to implement work sessions

This year, the Board of Education will be scheduling work sessions to deepen learning and discussion of key topics that impact the governance and strategy of district operations. These work sessions will be meetings held in public.  Each work session will provide the Board with in-depth information and insight on a specific topic to encourage full Board discussion and collaboration before a regular meeting. No actions will be taken at these sessions. Work sessions will be held following board committee discussions but prior to official board action.  Community members are welcome to attend, listen and observe, however meetings will not be livestreamed. Public comment may be available at the conclusion of the work sessions and will be limited to the topic of the work session.

The first work session is scheduled for Thursday, August 27 at 5pm at F-M High School and will provide the Board with information on the administration’s work in developing the scope of a future capital improvement project. Future board work sessions will be listed on the district’s website calendar and on the board of education’s webpage and Community site.
