The Fayetteville-Manlius Central School District will ask voters to decide on F-M Foundations, a capital project for F-M High School, Eagle Hill Middle School, and Enders Road Elementary, on Tuesday, December 15, 2026.
Polls will be open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Eagle Hill Middle School.
Moving F-M forward begins with investing in our schools. This project makes critical updates to key building infrastructure, addresses traffic safety issues at the high school, and creates safer, more comfortable learning environments for students and staff.
If approved, it will focus on the systems that keep school buildings running: heating, ventilation and air conditioning, roofing, electrical, masonry and plumbing. Much of the equipment it replaces dates to the 1960s and 1970s. The Board of Education approved this project on Monday, October 5, 2026.
The work falls into three areas:
- Safety and security: The high school site will be redesigned with a dedicated bus lane, a fire lane for emergency vehicles, and separate areas for student parking, staff parking, and parent drop-off. Enders Road receives safety and security upgrades and a new carbon monoxide detection system.
- Meeting state requirements: Air conditioning will be added to student spaces at Eagle Hill and Enders Road, and the high school’s House 1 HVAC system will be replaced, so classrooms meet New York State’s classroom temperature requirements.
- Infrastructure and energy efficiency: Roofing, windows, ceilings, exterior walls, transformers, and electrical panels that have reached the end of their useful life will be replaced across the three schools.
The total project cost is $59,185,000. State building aid and the district’s Capital Reserve, which voters approved in May 2023, are expected to cover about 78 percent of that amount. The estimated average annual impact on a home with a full market value of $300,000 is about $94. A full breakdown by home value and STAR status is on the project website.
Residents are invited to a Public Engagement Forum on Thursday, November 12 at 5:00 PM in the High School Lower Library Classroom, where district leaders and the project architects will walk through the plans and take questions. Project display boards are also posted in each school.
