F-M students churn up ideas for local ice cream shop

Thanks to a partnership between a local sweet shop and Fayetteville-Manlius middle school entrepreneurs, there’s a new ice cream flavor in town.

Throughout the month of May, a group of Eagle Hill eighth-graders collaborated to create an array of innovative ice cream flavors for Gabrielle Chocolates and Ice Cream Shop

As part of an English Language Arts project, using their descriptive writing skills and WeVideo, students crafted sales pitches that showcased the originality and creativity of their final products. Amongst the assortment of flavors and choices presented this year, “A Lotta Panna Cotta” was named the winner for its delightful and imaginative twist on the beloved classic dessert.

Local ice cream enthusiasts will have the pleasure of trying this flavor all summer long, available in both single-serving cups and convenient cartons.
