Musical instrument sale planned for May 18

‘Tis the season for spring cleaning, and if you’re looking to get rid of a band instrument you aren’t using anymore, you’re in luck! The Fayetteville-Manlius School District Music Department is hosting its annual instrument sale on Saturday, May 18.

The sale will take place from 8:30-11 a.m. in the Wellwood Middle School cafeteria, located at 700 S. Manlius Street, Fayetteville. The sale is held for Wellwood and Eagle Hill middle school students who would like to purchase an instrument for school use.

Band instruments needed include flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, snare drum, xylophone and drum sets.

A music store representative will also be available at the sale to assist anyone with questions about purchasing a new instrument.

Anyone interested in selling an instrument should contact one of the district’s music teachers, as they must approve the make, model and condition of any used instrument to be sold. If you live on the Eagle Hill side of the district, contact Jon Rossi at jrossi@fmschools.org. If you reside on the Wellwood side, contact Erik Lutters at elutters@fmschools.org.
