Spanish Club’s annual toy drive helps dozens of families

Thanks to the generosity of the Fayetteville-Manlius School District community, the holidays were brighter for dozens of local children-in-need.

During the month of December, Fayetteville-Manlius High School’s Spanish Club collected new and unwrapped toys, games, puzzles and more for its 18th annual holiday toy drive, The Wish Tree, which benefits underprivileged children who live in Syracuse, NY.

For the past 12 years, Spanish Club has partnered with Syracuse City School District’s Seymour Elementary School and Westside Family Center to help in-need families provide holiday gifts for their children.

This year’s drive brought in 75 gifts, which were donated by students, staff and community members. On Dec. 18, Spanish Club hosted a gift-wrapping party so that students and staff members could celebrate the holiday season together while preparing the donated gifts for delivery.
