State association recognizes Eagle Hill health educator

A Fayetteville-Manlius middle school teacher is being recognized for the high-quality health education program she provides to students.

In May, New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYSAHPERD) announced Eagle Hill Middle School health education teacher Casey Langendorfer will receive one of the association’s “Amazing People” awards for 2022.

She was selected for the award by NYSAHPERD’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusiveness Section and will be honored at the association’s annual conference in November.

The Amazing People awards are given by the association’s zones and sections to honor individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the profession, according to NYSAHPERD’s website.

Langendorfer has worked for F-M for three years and was also named NYSAHPERD Central North Zone Health Teacher of the Year earlier this school year.
