On May 19, Fayetteville-Manlius School District voters elected three board of education members to serve three-year terms that will each begin July 1.
Only two candidates submitted petitions by the 5 p.m. April 20 deadline to have their names placed on the ballot. They were:
- Robert J. Spencer
- Kristen Purcell
Because of the number of write-in candidates, the district was still counting write-in candidates when it released the results of its budget vote and other propositions that were also on the May 19 ballot.
Once all the write-ins were counted, it was determined that the candidates with the three highest vote totals who will fill the three open seats are Robert J. Spencer (1,212 votes), Kristen Purcell (1,310 votes) and Elizabeth Mossovitz (328).
Candidate information about Purcell and Spencer is already available on the district website, and the district will work with Mossovitz to obtain similar information to share with the community.
