Account Clerk 2/Accounts Payable – 12 months

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet Civil Service competitive requirements for Account Clerk II, either by currently holding the title or qualifying through the HELPS program. The successful candidate will be a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk who wants to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes of our educational community. This work requires a unique blend of financial accuracy and strict adherence to state regulations and board policies; and manage the entire payment lifecycle.
Duties: Match vendor invoices with approved Purchase Orders (POs) and receiving documentation before processing payments; process employee reimbursements (i.e. travel and tuition) to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; ensure all expenditures are accurately coded according to the state uniform system of accounts for school districts (General Fund, Cafeteria Fund, Special Aid, etc.); act as the primary contact for vendor inquiries and collaborate daily with school principals, department heads, and administrative assistants to resolve purchasing discrepancies; organize, compile, and format warrant reports and claims for review and approval by the Claims Auditor; and maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all.
Minimum requirements to meet Civil Service requirements:
Two (2) years of account keeping work experience or its part-time equivalent, the major job function of which is the maintenance of financial accounts, which must have included reconciling and posting to ledgers, journals and other accounting records. Preferred Experience: 1–3 years of accounts payable or clerical accounting experience. Experience with school financial software (nVision) or working in a public sector/civil service environment is a major plus. Proficient in Excel and Google Suite with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet Civil Service competitive requirements for Typist II, either by currently holding the title or qualifying through the HELPS program. Requires at a minimum two years of clerical and office management experience in a fast-paced environment, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, faculty, parents, and students. Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining a proactive, problem-solving approach to daily operations. Proficiency in Google Suite and a high aptitude for learning new technologies are essential. Furthermore, the role demands exceptional communication skills, a commitment to handling sensitive information with strict confidentiality, and a customer-service mindset to foster positive, professional relationships within the school community.

Substitute Bus Drivers
Location: F-M Transportation Department
Hours: 6 a.m. – 9 a.m. and/or 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. shifts on both a scheduled and on call basis. Afternoon and evening shifts are available for extra-curricular activity runs. This is a 10 month position.
Pay Rate: $29.95/hour – once training is completed and appointed as a School Bus Driver by the district.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be at least 21 years old and be able to interact well with both adults and children. A commercial driver’s license class B, with air brakes, passenger and school bus endorsements is necessary.
ALL TRAINING IS PROVIDED.
The candidate must be capable of providing a safe and efficient operation of a school bus in transporting students to and from school and school district functions within the scope of vehicle and traffic law. All candidates must be able to physically check the vehicle to ensure proper operation and submit to medical, physical, drug and alcohol exams on a periodic basis. Additionally, the ability to understand and follow both oral and written instructions is crucial for maintaining smooth operations.

Substitute Custodial Workers (12-month position)
Location: Six buildings throughout the district
Hours: Up to 40 hours/week – 1st and 2nd shifts
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
Duties: Work involves the performance of routine building cleaning tasks. Under immediate supervision, an employee in this class routinely performs repetitive cleaning tasks; specific instructions are given for new assignments. Cleans and polishes desks and furnishings, washes and dusts windows, blinds, woodwork, walls and fixtures. Cleans basins, mirrors, toilets, urinals and shower stalls. Refills soap, toilet tissue and paper towel containers. Depending upon the area of assignment: May scrub, mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, wax and polish floors; move furniture to clean underneath, may collect and dispose of trash and recyclables.
Minimum Qualifications: Prefer experience performing routine manual work involving building cleaning and general labor tasks; have working knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment commonly used in custodial work; and do related work as required.

Substitute Food Service Workers
Location: All six school buildings (Enders Road Elementary, Fayetteville Elementary, Mott Road Elementary, Eagle Hill Middle. Wellwood Middle, and F-M High School)
Hours: 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (Monday – Friday)
Rate of pay: Probationary rate $17.68/hour
Duties: These substitute positions follow the school schedule and are entry level food service positions involve the ability to learn and perform routine tasks in cafeteria operations, such as food preparation, serving, cashiering and cleaning. The work involves assisting in the preparation and serving of food, cleaning kitchen equipment and other light manual tasks incidental to the preparation of food in a school cafeteria. This is routine work, performed under direct supervision, consisting of food preparation and service such as preparing foods for cooking, placing food on trays and serving in dining area. Depending on the area of assignment, an employee in this class may participate in cooking food. Assignments from supervisors are continuous and specific in nature and finished work is reviewed by inspection and observation of results obtained. Does related work as required.
