Spanish Club’s holiday toy drive helps local families

Before settling into winter break last month, members of Fayetteville-Manlius High School’s Spanish Club set their sights on brightening the holidays for local children in-need.

During the month of December, F-M High School’s Spanish Club collected new and unwrapped toys, games, puzzles and more for its 19th annual holiday toy drive, The Wish Tree, which benefits underprivileged children who live in Syracuse, NY.

For the past 13 years, Spanish Club has partnered with Syracuse City School District’s Seymour Elementary School and Westside Family Center to help in-need families provide holiday gifts for their children.

This year’s drive at F-M High School brought in about 100 gifts, which were donated by students, staff and community members. On Dec. 17, Spanish Club hosted a gift-wrapping party so that students and staff members could celebrate the holiday season together while preparing the donated gifts for delivery.

The following images were captured during the Dec. 17 gift-wrapping event.
