Students are inducted into National Technical Honor Society

A group of F-M High School seniors were among 155 students recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). OCM BOCES welcomed districts and families from across the region for the Induction Ceremony at SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College on Tuesday, April 14.

Students were awarded certificates and presented with cords by Career and Technical Education Principal Michelle Giamartino to wear at their graduation ceremonies in June.

Students also lit candles symbolizing the core attributes of NTHS: knowledge, skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship, and leadership.

The NTHS strives to recognize students who have chosen technical education pathways to a successful future. To be eligible, students must maintain a minimum grade average of 85, have strong attendance, receive a teacher recommendation and demonstrate a number of values.
