The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA)
recently recognized several Fayetteville-Manlius School District athletic teams as part of its winter Scholar-Athlete program.
At the end of each sports season, NYSPHSAA recognizes student-athletes and teams that have achieved academic success. To receive a NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete team award, 75 percent of students on a team’s roster must earn a grade point average (GPA) of 90 or above.
NYSPHSAA recently announced that eight of F-M’s 2022-23 winter varsity athletic teams earned Scholar-Athlete designation and 147 F-M varsity student-athletes achieved a GPA of 90 or more.
F-M’s winter varsity scholar-athlete teams and averages include:
Girls Basketball – 96.7
Girls Indoor Track and Field – 94.9
Boys Basketball – 94.2
Boys Indoor Track and Field – 93.3
Boys Bowling – 92.8
Girls Bowling – 92.2
Ice Hockey – 91.6
Boys Swimming and Diving – 91.4
