F-M Dance Marathon community kickoff is Jan. 16

One of Fayetteville-Manlius High School’s biggest fundraising events of the year will kick-off this week with a special presentation for community members.

F-M students will celebrate Dance Marathon (DM) 2020 during a community presentation 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 in the F-M High School auditorium. The annual fundraiser combines philanthropy with dancing (and other activities) to raise money for Camp Good Days and Special Times, a not-for-profit organization that provides a summer camp experience to children whose lives have been affected by a cancer diagnosis.

During Thursday’s community presentation, F-M DM’s masters of ceremonies, or MCs, will discuss upcoming fundraising initiatives and the marathon, which will be held in March. They’ll also perform choreographed routines and present the DM 2020 hype video, which MCs create and produce each year in anticipation of the event.

A similar event will be held earlier in the day for F-M High School students.
The event is open to the public and free to attend.
